About My work
My work represents the Human and their daily life activities, habits, traditions,
development, methods, styles and occupations.
For many artists in the history, human figure is the main concept of their art especially
while portraying the culture and the day to day life subjects. For some artists human
bust was the main concept all through their life. The concept of portraying human
psychology also played important role in the history of art, many masters have achieved
it.
My works represent the psychology of human in the social context and the surrounding
nature, more broadly Man and Earth.
On the name of development man is slowly destroying the nature. Human beings are
directly or indirectly responsible for the deteriorating condition of the nature around us.
When we neglect nature, we pose a threat to many lives on our planet. Nature gives
happiness and peace to human is what I believe.
It’s the face which attracts the most in any creature. While representing these thoughts
and elements of man and nature in my work, I choose to portray the human face and
expressions symbolically representing the whole concept of Man vs Nature.
Like in one of my sculpture ‘Memory of City’ the Man head is in diamond shape, tall
buildings on head representing a city and the human constructions which is leading to
destruction of nature. The hairs are like waves showing the movement in the form and
give the gigantic feel to the form.
My works speaks the freedom in all its characteristics, with simple expressions of ‘no
fear’ in the face. The energy in the form comes from the head.
My sculptures represent less physicality of human body but more of the spiritual or
conceptual part of it. I draw inspiration from nature and all the elements which I use in
my sculpture are mostly from nature. I transform my inspirations into my visual
language.
Bronze, wood, stone, iron-scrap, fiber-glass and Mixed-media are the mediums which I
work most.
My work has received well till date and appreciations from senior artists.
My favorite sculptor from history is Michelangelo and my role model is Satish Gujral.
I am thankful to all my teachers, Sri Peeron, Sri AkkaYadagiri Rao, Sri G Y Giri and Sri B.
Srinivas Reddy who guided me in my career as a Sculptor.
I like to Paint too. My paintings are in creative and modern approach. I like to use bright
colors, playing with tints and shades.
Along with my sculptures, my paintings are also on display in current shows organized
by many Private and Government Organizations.
